SSE Wildcats Qualitative Case Studies
SSE Wildcats provides regular opportunities for girls to play football and take part in organised sessions in a fun and engaging environment. The key objective of the programme is to provide girls with an opportunity to try football for the first time, in a fun and safe environment, build confidence and make new friends.
- In its third full year, the SSE Wildcats programme has grown to over 1,250 centres nationwide
- Since 2017, the programme has attracted over 18,000 new girls to play the game for the first time
Building on the success of the programme to date, The FA engaged KKExcel in 2019 to undertake a deep dive into the delivery of the SSE Wildcats programme, via the production of six case studies that have been shared amongst CFAs and delivery organisations to inform planning and facilitate the sharing of good practice, as part of workshops delivered across England.
