FE Good Practice Case Studies Brochure

The Football Association in partnership with BUCS and Sport England, appointed seven new “College and Community Football Co-ordinators” (CCFC’s), to run specific football intervention programmes in partnership with FE colleges and County Football Associations.

The overall focus has been to make a measurable impact in addressing the drop off in participation in football of 16-19 year olds, whilst also sustaining existing participants and growing participation with a target of 10,000 new participants.

Supporting the above objective KKExcel was appointed by The FA to produce a ‘Good Practice Guide’, to illustrate the range of successful projects that have been developed by the network of College and Community Football Coordinators across England.  The guide brings to the forefront real-life examples of work in progress showing projects being delivered in a variety of situations, settings and contexts.

The guide has become a useful resource for anyone seeking new ideas or looking for examples of similar work with a comparison to be made on tactics used.  It is hoped that it will continue to guide, help, advise, influence and enthuse those who are delivering football opportunities within Further Education Colleges and in the local community.
