CSW Sport Team Building and Business Planning
During the last four years KKExcel has developed a long-term support role for the CSW Sport Partnership. Following the initial development of a performance management system KKExcel has also provided a number of 'Team Building and Business Planning' sessions for the core team.
To assist with the business planning cycle each year the core team has approached KKExcel to develop bespoke experiences based on current issues pertinent to new work directives and any changing dynamics within the team that need to be addressed/improved upon.
Examples of the topics covered over the last few years includes:
- Producing a Destination Statement to clarify the future direction of the team, whilst also reviewing what performance management systems are in place to monitor progress against such long term aims
- The development of the core teams' annual Business Plan
- Visually plot future events, projects, local and national commitments to identify pressure points so that interventions and plans can be put into place to support the team effectively across the next 12 months
- Encouraging greater joint working and connectivity to realise the potential that can be achieved by aligning projects, ways of working and joint outcomes
- Undertake an internal review of the methods used to plan, review and track progress to date
- Enhance collective responsibility and think through how this can be achieved
- Explore in more detail the role of the CSP in supporting and guiding NGBs with the local delivery of sports specific programmes
- Understanding each others' roles in more detail and getting to know one another to ensure all team members recognise and work to one anothers' strengths
- The inclusion of fun activities to enhance team working, problem solving and communication.
As part of the service provided by KKExcel an evaluation will always be conducted at the end of the session. The feedback received from the team after each session has always been very positive, a few examples of such comments are detailed below:
