Quality Assurance for the FA
Bespoke Quality Assurance Programme for County Football Associations
Appointed by The Football Association because of our extensive background and expertise in the area of quality assurance, KKExcel were commissioned to develop a bespoke Quality Assurance Programme for County Football Associations (CFAs).
In line with The FA's National Game Strategy a strategic commitment to providing quality services at all levels was paramount. At a national level The FA were keen to provide CFAs with a bespoke tool that would assist them to self assess their current performance, against a range of strategic themes, which mirror the National Game Strategy.
The bespoke Quality Assurance Programme has been developed as a result of two rigorous pilot phases over a period of two years to ensure it is 'fit for purpose' and shaped to meet the specific business needs of CFAs. Overall the process has been very well received at both an operational and strategic level. The County Football Associations involved in the Quality Assurance Programme are already starting to reap the benefits such as:
- Improved levels of efficiency and effectiveness
- Encouragement of joint working across different sections within the CFA
- Clear, workable improvement plans, containing new improvement projects, which will encourage different ways of working
- Comprehensive measurement of the present and future health of the CFA
- The QA model will provide CFAs with a framework should they wish to compare their performance with other CFAs across England and share good practice
- Enhanced values and habits of continuous improvement.
At a national level it also provides The FA with a tool that will highlight levels of performance across the whole of England, whilst also embedding a culture of continuous improvement across their organisation.
